Louisiana Association of Conservation Districts Scholarship
Each year the Louisiana Association of Conservation Districts (LACD) awards a graduating high school senior who is planning to enter an institution of higher learning within the State of Louisiana as a full-time under-graduate student in the field of agriculture, natural resources or environmental sciences.
The award amount will be set annually and awarded on a one-time basis. The amount for the 2026 Fall Semester will be $2,500 to a single recipient or $2,000 to two recipients.
Selection Process:
The scholarship is granted by the LACD organization; however, the Gulf Coast Soil and Water Conservation District is responsible for submitting a candidate to LACD. In the event that multiple applications are received by the district, it is the district’s duty to form a selection committee to choose 1 candidate to move forward.
The deadline to submit an application to the District is April 10, 2026 by 4:00pm. District’s will submit their chosen candidate to the LACD selection committee by April 17, 2026.
